Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: An oasis on the edge of the old town. The rooms are tastefully, stylishly and lovingly furnished. A large apartment with a whirlpool and a private swimming pool for about 200$ — that’s unusual. The staff are attentive, and the entire place is imbued with friendliness and goodwill. Positively paradisiacal after a few hours in the smog-filled hustle and bustle of the city. One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. And I’ve stayed in quite a few. One more thing: there is no breakfast buffet, which I find very pleasing. Instead, you order from an extensive menu and are attentively served at your table. That, too, is a rarity.

Negative: The food in the restaurant is good, but not very good. The attempt to approximate European cuisine doesn’t quite succeed in some dishes. That said, we didn’t find a better restaurant in Hue either.

Summary: A paradise on the edge of town.
